Security Officer – Solar Construction Site | Day & Overnight Shifts | Bremond, TX 76629 | $21.00/hr
United Protective Services is currently seeking dependable and professional Security Officers to provide security coverage at an active solar energy construction site in Bremond, TX (76629).
This position offers stable full-time employment at $21.00 per hour while providing security for a major renewable energy construction project.
About the Position
The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining security at the facility entrance and throughout the property. Officers will monitor individuals and vehicles entering the site, verify that deliveries and visitors are authorized, communicate with construction management regarding incoming deliveries, and ensure drivers understand and follow applicable site safety requirements.
Officers will also utilize a company-provided security vehicle to conduct patrols throughout the property and maintain a visible security presence.
Driving is an essential function of this position. Applicants must successfully pass a driving record check and maintain a clean driving record in order to operate the company vehicle and drive on the property.
Work Schedule
Full-Time | $21.00 per Hour | Day & Overnight Coverage
- Saturday & Sunday: Off
- Monday & Tuesday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Wednesday: Off
- Thursday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Primary Duties
- Monitor the facility entrance and designated access points.
- Stop and screen incoming delivery vehicles and vendors before they enter the property.
- Obtain and document required information from delivery drivers and vendors.
- Determine whether incoming vendors, contractors, and deliveries are authorized to enter the site.
- Contact construction management to verify and notify them of scheduled or arriving deliveries.
- Communicate applicable site safety rules and requirements to delivery drivers and other authorized personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming deliveries, visitors, vendors, and other site activity.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property using the company-provided security vehicle.
- Maintain a visible and proactive security presence throughout the property.
- Maintain communication with supervisors, construction management, and designated site contacts as required.
Vehicle & Driving Requirements
Driving is a required part of this position.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Applicants must successfully pass a driving record check before being authorized to operate the company vehicle.
- Must maintain a clean driving record in order to drive the company vehicle and operate a vehicle on the property.
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned worksite is required.
- Officers must operate the company vehicle safely and responsibly at all times.
- All site-specific vehicle and driving rules must be followed.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas Level II Security Officer License, or the ability to obtain one
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record required
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with vendors, contractors, construction personnel, and management
- Ability to follow detailed security and construction-site safety procedures
